Tahajjud | VIRTUES OF TAHAJJUD | Islam-Peace
Many people talk about Allah but very few talk to Allah. Bring Tahajjud and Du’a into your life and talk to Him.
If there is something you want to ask Allah, start praying tahajjud.
Tahajjud time is on even around 15 mins before Fajr so if you are a heavy sleeper you should try waking up at least 20 mins before fajr and offer tahajjud. Raise your hands in dua in tahajjud and be consistent, Allah loves hearing our duas.
VIRTUES OF TAHAJJUD :
1. Implementing the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ which he never use to miss.
2. It helps you to fight the desires you have.
3. It softens the heart and humbles you in front of Allah.
4. By performing it, it will bring light to your soul and you will feel peaceful and relaxed.
5. It strengthens the Quran that you have memorised.
6. Supplications in the depths of the nights are answered.

(Sahih Muslim)
The Dua made at Tahajjud is like a arrow that does not miss its target
(Imam Ash Shafi)
GET UP TO PRAY IN THE DARK WHEN ALL ARE ASLEEP AND SEE HOW YOUR PATH IS GOING TO LIGHT UP AND YOUR LIFE-BEGINS TO SHINE.
Best Time for Tahajjud
The night prayer may be performed in the early part of the night, the middle part of the night, or the latter part of the night, but after the obligatory Isha prayer.
Ibn Hajar says: “There was no specific time in which the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would perform his late night prayer; but he would do whatever was easiest for him.”
*However, it is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: “Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?”
[Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 21, Number 246]
It is best to delay this Prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) quoted the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying:
“Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: ‘Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?”
(Al-Bukhari)
`Amr ibn `Absah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that he heard the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying: “The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah the Exalted One at that time, then do so.”
(At-Tirmidhi)
Abdullah ibn Salam reported:
“When the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) came to Madinah, the people gathered around him and I was one of them. I looked at his face and understood that it was not the face of a liar. The first words I heard him say were: ‘O people, spread the salutations, feed the people, keep the ties of kinship, and pray during the night while the others sleep, and you will enter Paradise in peace.’” (At-Tirmidhi)
Salman Al-Farsi quoted the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as saying:
“Observe the Night Prayer; it was the practice of the righteous before you and it brings you closer to your Lord and it is penance for evil deeds and erases the sins and repels disease from the body.” (At-Tabarani)
Don’t forget to set your alarm for Tahajjud Salah.
