Events That Took Place Before Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) Was Born
Story of Prophet Muhammad – Part 1: Events That Took Place Before He (S.A.W.) Was Born
About 1400+ years ago, in the Saudi Arabian city of Makkah, Prophet Muhammad, the greatest of mankind, was born. The study of human history reveals that there has been no one greater than Him before Him, and the world has not since seen anyone who can compare to Him in every way. He was the one with the best character.
Prophet Muhammad H mentioned in a hadith:
“ALLAH E has sent me to perfect good manners and to do good deeds.” (Bukhari)
The ancestors of Prophet Muhammad H
The family lineage of Prophet Muhammad H from the Prophet Adam to his parents belonged to the Quraysh tribe’s Banu Hashim clan and was extremely pure and was one of Makkah’s most prominent families.
ALLAH E created Adam S, the father of mankind. Adam S when looked up, He noticed some name written with tremendous Noor (the light of heavens) on the greatest throne. “Ahmad”
Adam S asked ALLAH E: “O ALLAH, what is that light”
To this, ALLAH E replied :
“It is the light of a prophet who is going to come from your offspring. His name is AHMAD up in heaven and MUHAMMAD on earth. If it hadn’t been for him, I wouldn’t have created you as well!”
Once, Abdullah bin Jabir R.A asked, “Oh ALLAH’s Messenger, will you explain what ALLAH E created before everything else”?
Prophet Muhammad H answered:
Before creating anything else, ALLAH E created your Messenger’s Noor (light) from HIS light. The light would travel with the power of ALLAH E and as it wished. At that time, there was no lawh Mahfouz (preserved tablet), no pen, no Hell, no Heaven, no angel, no land, no sun, no moon, no sky, no person, and no jinn.
The Father of the Prophets Hazrat Ibrahim S had two sons Ishaq and Ismail. He was aware that numerous prophets will come from the lineage of Ishaq as a consequence of the inspiration from Almighty ALLAH. The emergence of prophets among Ismail’s offspring, who was born of Hagar, was unknown to him, though.
However, Hazrat Ibrahim S knew and was sure that a great prophet would come at the end of time. He, therefore, wanted the last prophet to emerge among Ismail’s offspring, whom he adored greatly.
The Kaba, which Adam S first constructed, suffered significant damage through time and was nearly destroyed. After receiving a command from ALLAH E to rebuild this revered structure, the prophet Abraham S promptly got to work alongside his son Ismael and completed it.
After completing the construction of the holy Kaba, they made prayers to ALLAH E :
Our ALLAH! Raise from among them a messenger who will recite to them Your revelations, teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ is the Almighty, All-Wise.” (Surah al-Baqara,129)
ALLAH E did not ignore this honest request and sent the chief of the prophets, Prophet Muhammad H, a descendant of Ismael, to the world. “I am the supplication of my forefather Abraham SAW,” declared the Master of the Universe Prophet SAW.
The offspring and grandchildren of Hazrat Ismail multiplied and dispersed throughout the Arabian Peninsula. The sons of Adnan descended from them, the sons of Mudar descended from them, and the tribe of Quraysh descended from them, becoming superior and unique from the other tribes. Of all the Quraysh tribes, the Hashim branch enjoyed the most respect and prestige.
According to the authentic sources, the master of the Universe Prophet Muhammad H a line of descent tracing to his 20th grandfather as follows:
Muhammad H, Abdullah, Abdulmuttalib (his real name is Shaiba), Hashim, Abd Munaf (Mugheera), Qusai, Kilab, Murra, Kaab, Luay, Ghalib, Fahr (Quraysh), Malik, Nadr, Khuzaima, Mudrikah (Amir), Ilyas, Mudar, Nizar, Maad, Adnan.
These are our honorary universe master’s grandfathers. Their relatives multiplied; They were all the grandfathers and fathers of numerous tribes and served as chieftains of several communities.
Our beloved Prophet (SAW)’s lineage would always be on the most respectable and dignified side whenever a family had two sons or when a tribe split in two, and every one of his grandfathers would be known by the exceptional noor (light) that shone on his face at all times.
The line of descent that follows His 20th Grandfather According to genealogists, the Holy Prophet’s 20th Grandfather, Adnan, was from Hazrat Ibrahim’s line. Between Adnan and the Prophet Ibrahim S, there is a significant time gap. According to some genealogists, there are 40 generations in between.
As a result, the line of descent from Adnan, the Messenger of God’s 20th grandfather, to Hazrat Ibrahim, the second rank chain, is unknown. Some genealogists assert that the Holy Prophet’s line of descent goes back seven generations to Hazrat Ismail, while others assert that it goes back nine generations. This demonstrates that numerous steps have been skipped.
Some scholars list our beloved Prophet’s line of descent from Adnan to Hazrat Ibrahim as follows:
Adnan
Udd (or Udad)
Muqawwim
Nahur (or Sarih)
Tayrah
Ya’rub
Yashjub
Nabit
Ismail S
Ibrahim S
The popular Gandfathers of Prophet Muhammad H
Certainly, we do not know much about all of the ancestors who played great roles in Islamic history, but most of the ancestors are known who were closest in time. Let’s go through their lives and learn about their personalities.
Qusai
Qusai, also known as Zayd, was the Holy Prophet’s fourth grandfather and a very significant person. He only had one brother named Zuhra.
Qusai received the privilege of carrying the noor that descended from Hazrat Adam from these two siblings. Qusai was known for his talents when he was a little child and eventually rose to prominence in Mecca. He quickly established a solid reputation among the inhabitants of Mecca for making just judgments and having strong leadership and management abilities. For this reason, he was given authority over Mecca. He established the first district system in Mecca.
Everyone adored and revered Qusai, without exception. His brow bore the noor of the Master of the Universe, making him beloved and a close friend of the Meccan people.
When Qusay grew old, He gave the position of the family chieftain to his oldest son, Abduddar, saying, “My Beloved Son, I appoint you as the chief of this tribe.”
Abduddar lacked the abilities necessary to carry out such a significant responsibility, nevertheless. He struggled throughout his life to succeed in his father’s place since his younger brother, Abd Manaf, who had four sons named Hashim, Abdusshams, Muttalib, and Nawfal, received the noor of the Universal Master instead of him.
Hashim
Hashim ibn Abd Manaf was the great-grandfather of Prophet Muhammad H and an important figure in the history of the Arab people. He was born in the city of Mecca around the year 464 CE and was the son of Abd Manaf ibn Qusayy, a prominent leader of the Quraysh tribe. Hashim was a trader and one of Mecca’s renowned nobility. The Holy Prophet’s noor on his forehead was blazing even brighter as the anniversary of his birth drew closer. He also possessed outstanding virtues.
Hashim was known for his generosity and his business acumen, and he became a successful merchant who traded luxury goods such as silk and spices. He also established a trade route between Mecca and Syria that was known as the “caravan of the Quraysh.”
Hashim’s name became the title for his family and descendants due to his excellent moral character, aptitude, wisdom, generosity, virtuous character, universal love and respect, and magnificent personality. Because of this, they called this illustrious dynasty, which includes our master of the Universe, the “Hashemites”.
In addition to his business activities, Hashim was a respected leader in Mecca and played a key role in providing food and water to pilgrims who visited the city during the annual Hajj pilgrimage. He was also involved in negotiating the release of prisoners of war and in resolving disputes between different tribes.
Shaiba (Abdulmuttalib), Asad, Abu Sayfi, and Nadla were the four sons of Hashim. The descendants of Hashim included his sons Shaiba and Asad. Shaiba (Abdulmuttalib) is the Holy Prophet’s grandfather from the first generation whereas Asad is the uncle of Hazrati Ali’s mother, Fatimah.
On the other hand, every Hashemite was descended from Abdulmuttalib’s branch, multiplied, and spread across the Earth whilst Hunain, who came from Asad’s line, had no children.
Abdulmuttalib (Shaiba)
The Holy Prophet’s first-generation grandfather is named Shaiba. He was given the name “Shaiba” since he was born with white hair; however, he became more well-known as Abdulmuttalib and was frequently referred to by this name.
Shaiba was given the nick name Abdulmuttalib.
Shaiba spent his childhood with his maternal uncles in Madina. One day Shaiba was playing with his neighborhood friends in the public square in Madina. They were throwing arrows. He was easily distinguished from the other children by the Master of the Universe’s noor that shone on his forehead. There was a huge crowd of adults who assembled to watch the kids finish the game.
Shaiba was the next to shoot an arrow. He confidently inserted the arrow into the bow and extended it. He briefly stopped breathing before drawing the bow. The arrow that shot forth from the bow found its target precisely. He brought the following words to his tongue due to the happiness and joy he felt with this triumph as everyone stared at him in awe:
“I am Hashim’s son. I am Sir Betha’s son. Of course, my arrow will find its target”
Shaiba’s commendatory remarks were heard by the adults who came to watch. By cross-examining him, one of Harith bin Abd-Manaf’s sons discovered that he was one of Hashim’s sons. This man told Muttalib about the situation when he got back to Mecca and said that it was wrong for such a gifted and intelligent child to be left in a foreign province.
Muttalib immediately went to Medina and brought Shaiba to Mecca after hearing this news. They inquired as Muttalib and Shaiba rode into Mecca on the back of their saddles:
Who exactly is this kid?
The words “my slave” came out of Muttalib’s mouth because he was worried that the child would get the evil eye.
Khadija, his wife, posed the same query when he got home. Yet again the response was “My slave”.
Shaiba began wearing the new, exquisite clothing that his uncle had purchased for him the following day as he ventured through Mecca’s streets. As soon as they learned his identity, everyone started asking questions. “Abdulmuttalib” (Abdulmuttalib’s slave) was the response from those who were aware.
From that day on, his nickname remained “Abdul-Muttalib,” even though his identity was eventually made public.
The Dream of Abdulmuttalib
After many years passed, The noor (blessed light) having a place with the Heavenly Prophet SAW that gleamed on Abdulmuttalib’s forehead carried him to the station of Quraysh’s chieftainship.
He was sleeping by the Ka’ba in the Hijr area in a shaded spot on a hot summer day. He was dreaming. In this dream, someone called out to him:
“Get up, and dig up Tayyiba!”
He inquired, “Where could Tayyiba be”?
Nonetheless, the individual didn’t respond to his inquiry and left.
When Abdulmuttalib woke up, he became restless. He spent the entire night trying to figure out what Tayyiba was trying to say because he hadn’t understood the dream. What would it be like to excavate Tayyiba?”
He dozed off in the same spot the next day. The identical man returned and yelled:
“Wake up and dig Barra!”
Puzzled, Abdulmuttalib questioned again, perplexed, “Where is Barra?”
That man left again without answering any questions.
From his sleep, Abdulmuttalib awoke with a lot more interest and eagerness. However, he was unable to interpret what he saw. Again, he was influenced by his dream throughout the day and night.
The next day, he slept in the same location. The same man approached him and urged him to get up. Dig up Madnuna.
Abdulmuttalib inquired of the man when he was fast asleep, “Where is Madnuna?” The man continued to leave without responding.
The level of Abdulmuttalib’s intrigue and interest peaked. He was positive that the continuous dream he had for three days had some significance. But he had not the least idea that what it meant.
On the fourth day, Abdulmuttalib witnessed the same man’s entrance as he was sleeping in the same location. The man yelled, “Excavate the Zamzam!” this time.
“What and where is the Zamzam?” inquired Abdulmuttalib. “The Zamzam is a kind of water that never stops,” the man replied. It never gets down. You will meet the pilgrims’ water needs during Hajj with this. It is situated between the area of the Ka’ba where the blood of the sacrifices is shed and the location where their excrement is interred. A crow with patterned wings flies above and picks at the area. There is also an ant’s nest there.
Abdulmuttalib was extremely happy upon awakening this time since he had discovered the solution to his dream’s mystery. He had already heard the Zamzam well mentioned frequently. However, no one was aware of its location because, as the Jurhumies fled from Mecca’s attackers, they dumped all of Mecca’s priceless possessions into the Zamzam well, blended the well’s top with the dirt, and otherwise undistinguished it. Since that time, the word Zamzam has been present but the actual Zamzam has disappeared.
Abdulmuttalib finally realized that his task was to locate and excavate the Zamzam. He visited the location he had heard about in his dream. Then he noticed a crow flying through the air on multicolored wings, shuffling around with its beak as it landed on the ground, and then flew away.
There was nothing to say about Abdulmuttalib’s happiness.
He was going to attain the glory of finding and exposing the well (from the giver of life) that had been kept secret for years.
A while after some continuous digging, the Zamzam well’s woven wall stones and its circular opening appeared.
Naturally, he could not believe his eyes.
He began to recite Takbir, “Allahu Akbar!
Sooner, when Quraysh realized about the Zamzam well was being found or excavated by Abdulmuttalib, they started arguing with Him and created a dispute.
Abdulmuttalib very patiently replied to the Qurayshis that “
This task has been assigned only to me and has been given to me from among you”.
When they did not agree to Abdulmuttalib’s plea, Abdulmuttalib opened his hands and prayed, “I swear that if God gives me 10 sons I will sacrifice one of them by the Ka’ba” These words of Abdulmuttalib were a prayer, an oath, and an offering.
After many disputes and clashes, Abdulmuttalib was able to locate the ZamZam well.
After returning to Mecca, Abdulmuttalib continued excavating the ZamZam well with his Harith.
At the perfect age of 40 Abdulmuttalib extracted the Zamzam well.
After Thirty years, Abdulmuttalib had 10 sons by the grace of almighty ALLAH. Meanwhile, he remembered the promise he had made many years ago: to sacrifice one of his sons by the Kaa’ba. However, which one should he sacrifice? All of them were more wonderful and loveable than the other. However, Abdullah was much different.
Prophet Muhammad’s H Father: Hazrat Abdullah
Abdullah was much different from his other siblings in character and looks and he was eighth among the ten sons of Abdul Muttalib.
It was seen that the noor of Prophet Muhammad H was shone on the forehead of Abdullah making him more beautiful and different from other sons.
When all 10 sons of Abdulmuttalib grew up, He gathered them all and explained to them that one of them had to be sacrificed.
All of them agreed to their father without questioning Him and asked how they can do this.
Abdulmuttalib advised them to take an arrow each and write their name on the arrow and give it to him.
All his children were obedient and did what their father asked them to do.
Abdulmuttalib took all the arrows and headed toward Ka’ba. This resolution to this situation was already explained. the statue Hubal would draw an arrow and whoever name was drawn would be sacrificed as this was the method applied by Qurayshis in such situations.
The painful drawing of Lots
Everybody gathered around Abdulmuttalib curious to see the result of the draw. The arrows were given to a civil servant who did arrow drawings with the names of the beloved sons of Abdulmuttalaib on each arrow.
The arrow that came out after the draw was the name Abdullah has written on it. Father Abdulmuttalib couldn’t believe he heard. His heart trembled with love, compassion, and fear of losing his beloved son. He became hopeless but remembered the promise he made to God and went back home with a heavy heart to share this devastating news.
Abdulmuttalib took a knife in one hand and Abdullah’s hand in the other hand. Abdullah’s face was shining noor and there was no fear or displeasure on his face.
Abdullah was ready to be sacrificed by his father but in the meantime, the people of Quraish gathered and screamed “Oh Abdulmuttalib! What is that you want to do?”
The Quraish crowd opposed this anguish decision of Abdulmuttalib and gave him a proposal.
They informed Abdulmuttalib about a wise and clairvoyant woman who lives in Damascus and finds a cure for every problem. They told them to take Abdullah to the woman to save him from the sacrifice.
Abdulmuttalib immediately took his beloved son to Damascus and narrated the situation to her.
The woman enquired about the amount of ransom for one person where he lived.
Abdulmuttalib said “10 camels”.
She then gave him the solution and Abdulmuttalib found it suitable and returned to Mecca without wasting time. Everyone was excited and happy upon hearing this news.
The next day, Abdulmuttalib followed as the women told him to save Abdullah and returned to Mecca with an immensely happy heart.
the drawing of the arrows began the next day and a civil servant was chosen to do so. The arrow was drawn and it pointed to Abdullah and the number of camels increased by 10 every time the arrow pointed to Abdullah. The number of camels became 50,60,70,80,90 and finally reached 100. And by this time the arrow pointed to the camels. Everyone took a deep breath and felt happy and excited.
Although Abdulmuttalib’s eyes gleamed with happiness however he became serious and said: “ By God, I am going to draw three again until my heart will be satisfied”.
The arrows were drawn three times more and all the arrows pointed to the camels. This made Abdulmuttalib satisfied and everybody screamed and shouted Allahuakbar! With happiness.
This is how Abdullah was saved from being sacrificed. The 100 camels were sacrificed and the entire Meccan community benefited from the meat of the camels.
The high characteristic of Abdullah and his chastity
After the result of the draw, everyone left the place. Abdulmuttalib and Abdullah were also returning to their city. When they were passing the Ka’ba, Abdullah moved far behind his father. A woman named Ruqaiyah saw Abdullah and approached him. This woman has read the old holy books and knew about the characteristics of the prophet that would appear during the last times. She observed the brightness of noor on the face of Abdullah which was never seen before.
She expressed her illicit intention to him but Abdullah continued on his way ignoring her.
She desperately wanted him for herself and gave him an appealing offer of as many camels as sacrificed for Abdullah but he paid no heed to the offer and said:
“Haram is so painful that the pain of death is lighter in comparison to it. Whereas halal is sweet. Oh, woman, go and openly seek what is halal! Those who possess honor and chastity protect their faith scrupulously. How can they attempt and dare to commit an action that is deemed dishonorable?”
Hazrat Abdullah’ got married to Hazrat Amina
Abdulmuttalib wanted to get his son Abdullah married and have a happy family. He was worried to find someone equal to him in every aspect. Keeping all this in mind, Abdulmuttalib went to Wahb B. Abdi Manaf, who was the chief of the Bani Zuhra tribe. Abdulmuttalib asked him for his daughter for Abdullah. Wahb accepted his proposal saying that he already received this proposal in dreams. he said:
“O, my cousin! We received this proposal already. Amina’s mother had a dream a few days ago. According to what she narrated, a light entered our house and it illuminated the earth and the sky. Last night, I saw our grandfather, Ibrahim S, in my dream. He said to me, ‘I married Abdullah, Abdulmuttalib’s son, off to your daughter, Amina. When he comes, accept it.’ I have been under the influence of this dream since this morning. I constantly asked myself, ‘When will they come?’”
Abdulmuttalib screamed, “Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!” joyfully upon hearing this.
Amina, Wahb’s daughter had a high rank among the girls of the Quraysh in terms of beauty, ethics, and nobility. Amina was only 14 then and Abdullah was twenty-four years old. She was equal to Abdullah in every aspect. They soon got married. The family that would bring the Master of the Universe into the world was formed by this wedding.
After a few weeks of their marriage, something strange happened that was not noticed by many people. The light of noor that had been on the face of Hazrat Abdullah started to shine on the forehead of Amina. Because Hazrat Amina conceived the Master of the Universe Prophet Muhammad H.
Hazrat Abdullah left for Syria with a trade caravan a few months after their wedding. And sadly Hazrat Abdullah never returned to Makkah. The caravan returned to Makkah a few months later, but Hazrat Abdullah was not among them. Only sad news arrived.
Amina, who was very young, was filled with sorrow and despair that could not be adequately expressed. She melted like a candle as she learned the news. For days, she could not stop crying. She sobbed nonstop. There were still two months till the birth of the one who would wipe away the tears of humanity and put an end to their suffering.
Hazrat Abdullah was newly married and passed away just as he was about to start working toward the future. He thus left a relatively meager inheritance. He also left five camels, a few sheep, a sword, and some silver coins, as well as a female slave named Umm Ayman Baraka who adored the Master of the Universe.
By the mercy of ALLAH E, he left behind a very good child who would grow up to become the Sun of the World and the Master of the Universe, Hazrat Muhammad H, who would shine a light on the entire planet.
The event of the Elephant
Soon after the birth of Prophet Muhammad H, people started to move to Ka’ba to perform hajj from everywhere. With the help of the Byzantine emperor, Abraha established a church named Qulleys built in the city of San’a to stop the crowd of people towards the Kaba. He spent a lot of money doing interior gold and silver decoration. Its exterior was embellished with exceedingly priceless jewels that he had brought from several locations. It was so great that no other church could compare to the one he had built!
With all of this adornment and embellishment, Abraha intended to draw attention to this area. Thus, he was considering breaking the enormous favor that people had for Kaba in the end.
Abraha sent the Abyssinian king a letter once the church was built to win his additional approval. “I have had a church built for you such that neither Arabs nor Farsis has ever made something alike,” he stated in the letter. I won’t stop unless I turn this into a destination of pilgrimage for Arabs.
However, Abraha’s expenses and efforts were all went vain. Many people came to witness the church’s magnificent construction and distinctive decorations. They merely came to admire its beauty, though. The number of visitors to the Kaba did not decline but rose instead.
The Arabs also heard that Abraha had a gorgeous church constructed to drive people away from the Kaba. Nawfal, a member of the Qinana tribe, had made up his decision to stop this church in the interim. He entered the church at midnight, foiling both inside and outside, before turning around and returning to his starting point.
Abraha was already enraged by the fact that people continued to support the Kaba, so this episode upset him even more. When he discovered that the person who destroyed the church was Arab, he yelled angrily, “Arabs did it since I forced some of them to turn away from their Kaba. So I’m going to destroy it completely. He then made plans to move toward Mecca to destroy the Kaba. He requested the famed elephant Mahmoud from the Negus of Abyssinia. The elephant, which at the time was unrivaled in terms of size and power in the world, was sent to the Negus in response to his request.
After assembling his army, Abraha marched for Makkah.
In front of the army, he began to make his way to Makkah while riding the elephant known as Mahmud.
While Abraha was battling them, various Arab tribes attempted to stop the large army but were unsuccessful.
Abraha assigned some cavalry to lead the attack when he arrived at a place called Mogammish close to Mecca.
Cavalrymen entered Mecca and robbed the Quraishian and Tikhamese herds, taking with them 200 camels belonging to Abdulmuttalib, the Prophet Muhammad’s H grandfather. Abdulmuttalib presided over the Quraish tribe at that time.
To communicate with the Quraishians, Abraha dispatched an envoy:
I’m not here to fight you; I’m here to destroy the Kaba. You won’t be killed if you don’t resist me. If the tribe’s chief does not want me to engage in combat with him, let him approach me.
Abdulmuttalib replied to this: “We vow by God that we do not wish to fight him. In any case, we are not capable of that. The Kaba belongs to Allah Almighty and is not ours. It cannot be saved from destruction by anybody but only the Almighty ALLAH. We have no authority to stop Abraha from attacking if He does not defend His holy home.
After their conversation, the envoy and Abdulmuttalib traveled to Abraha.
Abdulmuttalib appeared to be powerful. Abraha addressed Abdulmuttalib with respect unwillingly and enquired as to his wish.
Abdulmuttalib expressed his desire, saying, “Your soldiers kidnapped my 200 camels. I’d like to have them given back to me.
Abraha was not ready to accept this and was surprised to hear this from Abdulmuttalib. Abraha said I thought you are an important person but now I don’t think you are. Im ready to destroy the Kaba; the temple of your forefathers and yours but you are not worried about it, rather you are worried about your camels.
Abdulmuttalib replied hastily: “I own my camels, and the Kaba has a guardian and owner. He will defend it.
Abraha yelled in anger”No one can defend it!”
With a calm voice, Abdulmuttalib retorted, “I am not interested in that; this is between you and Him!”
Following their discussion, Abraha returned Abdulmuttalib’s camels. Abdulmuttalib later left the area and returned to Mecca, where he informed the Quraishians of everything that had transpired. Additionally, he marked 200 of his camels that would be offered as sacrifices to God.
To protect themselves from Abraha and his army’s brutality and oppression, Abdulmuttalib advised the populace to leave Mecca. Along with a few others, he traveled to the Kaba and prayed to ALLAH E to protect the sacred house from the army of Abraha.
The people of Macca evacuated Macca and started to seek refuge on mountaintops and isolated locations and they waited to see Abraha’s actions with curiosity and fear.
Army was prepared and was waiting for the order from Abraha the following day’s morning.
It was the year 571, the seventeenth month of Muharram and the day was Sunday.
Just before the army was to move, a man named Nufail Bin Habib, who was appointed as a guide to Abraha at that time, bent down to whisper into the ears of the great elephant named Mahmoud:
Nufail Bin Haaabiiib said: “Mahmoud! Kneel! and Turn back where you come from without being injured. You are in a place where God Almighty deems holy.”
He then ran to seek refuge in the mountains after whispering in Mahmoud’s ear.
The elephant Mahmood immediately knelt after Nufail’s words.
They tried every trick to make him stand but in vain. When they pointed it in the direction of Yemen, Damascus, or the eastern side, he was ready to run; however, when they pointed it in the direction of Mecca, it kept knelt as if it lacked the strength to move.
God Almighty sent the birds against the Abraha army called Ababel (goatsucker) from the other side of the sea.
God Almighty sent down the birds against the Abraha army called Ababel (goatsucker) from the other side of the sea when everybody was astonished looking at Mahmood’s actions.
The birds bombarded the army with stones by the command of ALLAH E. The soldiers were terrified when they encountered the stone assault. Humans and animals were lying everywhere, dead or injured. Those who were saved from the stones began to run away. One of them was Abraham. However, he also died quickly as a result of stones hitting his body.
The elephant Mahmoud survived because it resisted marching into Mecca. God Almighty cleansed the land with rain, which later dragged the remains into the sea after destroying the army of Abraha with stone-carrying birds.
This incident was evidence of Muhammad’s H prophecy. Because before he was born, God Almighty protected his future home and the direction he was to turn his face.
Because of His love for His Beloved Prophet H, God Almighty did not permit the army of Abraham to desecrate this revered location.
ALLAH E mentions this event in the Quran:
“Have you considered how your Lord dealt with the people of the Elephant? Did He not bring their evil scheme to nothing? He sent down upon them flocks of birds (unknown in the land), Shooting them with bullet-like stones of baked clay (an emblem of the punishment due to them), And so He rendered them like a field of grain devoured and trampled. (Al-Fil Surah, 105:1-5)”.
Birth Of The Light Of The Universe-Prophet Muhammad H
Before ALLAH E sent his last messenger to the world, the earth was immersed in complete darkness and deterioration. People ignored the messages of all the past prophets and the whole world was slumped into oppression, darkness, disbelief, polytheism, deviation, and, ignorance. Souls were crying and humanity was suffering.
ALLAH E would not let humanity suffer in darkness and sent His last messenger who would be the light that is going to remove the darkness from the universe.
Hazrat Amina felt a light inside her when she wwwas pregnant with Prophet Muhammad H.
Imam Baihaqi narrated from Hani’ I-Makhzumi that as soon as Prophet Muhammed (saw) was born, this fire that Persians worshiped and was burning continuously from thousands was turned off.
When the beloved Prophet was born, all the 360 idols that were worshipped in the lands of Arabia fell in and around the holy Kaba.
When the child was taken to the Kaba for the naming ceremony, the four corners of the walls of the Ka’bah spoke and declared:
“There is none worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad is the Seal of Prophethood.”
