A seminar on “Understanding Pakistan-China Relations in the Contemporary Era” was held at the University of Sargodha, under the auspices of the Department of Politics and International Relations here on Tuesday
SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th Oct, 2023) A seminar on “Understanding Pakistan-China Relations in the Contemporary Era” was held at the University of Sargodha, under the auspices of the Department of politics and International Relations here on Tuesday.
The seminar was attended by various faculty members and students, including Director of the Pakistan Institute of China Studies, Dr. Fazal-ur-Rehman, and Chairman of the Department of Politics and International Relations UoS Dr. Asia Saif Alvi.
Dr. Fazal Rehman, while addressing the seminar, mentioned that the relationship between Pakistan and China is based on trust, mutual benefits, and close cooperation.
He also highlighted the significant increase in bilateral cooperation in various fields between China and Pakistan in recent years.
Furthermore, he pointed out that China is collaborating with Pakistani universities for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) development program.
During the seminar, students also asked Dr. Fazal Rehman questions, and in response to one question, he emphasized the importance of strategic communication as a crucial element of understanding Chinese culture. He mentioned that learning from China‘s policies, practices, and principles is essential for economic and social development.
Dr. Asia Saif Alvi, in her address, emphasized that China is not just a neighbor but a friend of Pakistan.
