What is the difference between Masjid and Musallah?
The main difference between a mosque (masjid) and a Mussallah is their size, formality, and location. A mosque typically refers to a larger, more formal place of worship for Muslims, often with designated areas for prayer, ablution facilities, and community gatherings. These are commonly found in neighbourhoods and serve as focal points for Muslim communities.
On the other hand, a Mussallah, including the Sky Mussallah at Address Jabal Omar Makkah, is a smaller, informal prayer space. Mussallahs can be located in various places such as offices, shopping malls, or hotels, providing convenient spaces for prayer. While mosques usually have a designated Imam (prayer leader) and conduct regular congregational prayers, Mussallahs like the Sky Mussallah offer flexible prayer arrangements and may not always have a designated Imam or fixed prayer times.
