Dua For Success In Both Worlds (Duniya & Akhirah)
Everyone wants to win. You want a good job, a happy family, and peace of mind right now. You also want to succeed in the real test, the one that lasts forever.
The Quran gives you a perfect dua for exactly this. It is short, easy to memorize, and covers everything you could ever need.

This dua comes directly from Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 201. It was the supplication most often made by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Transliteration:
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah, wa fil-akhirati hasanah, wa qina ‘adhaban-nar
Meaning:
“Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
This dua is a complete package. The word “hasanah” means goodness, and it covers everything.
In this world, hasanah includes health, wealth, knowledge, a loving spouse, righteous children, and peace of mind. It asks for blessings in your money, your body, and your relationships.
Then you ask for goodness in the next world. This means Paradise, an easy accounting on Judgment Day, and forgiveness for your sins.
The final part asks for protection from the Fire. It was the Prophet’s favorite supplication. He said it constantly because it sums up everything a believer could want. It teaches you to be balanced.
How many times should you recite this dua?
- Recite this dua as often as you can throughout your day.
- The Prophet (peace be upon him) would repeat this supplication frequently, making it a core part of his prayers.
This dua is your daily reminder of what truly matters. Say it after every prayer. It covers every base. Your bank account, your family, your health, your grave, your judgment, and your eternal home.
