Italian Town Monfalcone Bans Muslim Prayers
Anna Maria Cisint has banned Muslim prayers in the Adriatic port town of Monfalcone in Italy.
Muslim residents became upset after an envelope containing half-burnt pages of the Quran was posted at the Darus Salaam Muslim Cultural Association.
The population of the town is increasing rapidly, with a huge number of Muslims of Bangladeshi origin. Mayor Cisint’s anti-Islam agenda and discriminatory policies have further fueled intolerance and tensions.
This will further cause issues within the town as the town Mayor continues to impose anti-Muslim laws.
