An Aayah a Day for Muslim Kids (+FREE printable)
This post is sponsored by Muslim Kids TV
Give your children an aayah a day memorization and tafsir challenge to do every single day and make it into a game. Everyone in the family can do it during the month of Ramadan or any month of the year really (winter vacations or summer vacations, etc.). If you plan on doing this in Ramadan, this is something your child can get involved in, even if they are not fasting to help them catch onto the spirit of Ramadan (which is the month of the Qur’an). The post provides a list of 30 verses from the Quran that can be used to teach children about Islam. The post also includes a FREE printable that you can download and use to help your children memorize the verses.
The entire Quran recitation section in Muslim Kids TV is great for memorisation – plays Ayah by Ayah and can repeat the times you want.
‘An Aayah a Day‘ FREE Printable Strips:
Following is the list of verses that I compiled. I designed this with my 8-year-old in mind too as I wanted to do this activity with her to benefit from and have something relevant to talk about in terms of our spiritual development. I pray that these PRINTABLE STRIPS help you too. You can download them for free. All the reference links are embedded in each mentioned VERSE (the underlined part) so you can go read it in Arabic too and recheck the references easily. The references are not mentioned in the printables to maximize the space so the text is not too small for you to read. If you won’t be printing the freebies, please come back to this article every day to read the whole hadith, or when narrating it to your child/children. If you benefit from this freebie bundle, please make dua for us (AYEINA and Muslim Kids TV – who helped us bring this post to life) and feel free to share it forward:

Ubayy bin Ka’b (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: … I said: “O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I frequently invoke Allah to elevate your rank. How much of my supplications should I devote to you?” He said, “You may devote as much as you wish.” When I suggested a quarter, he said, “Do whatever you wish, but it will be better for you if you increase it.” I suggested half, and he said, “Do whatever you wish, but it will be better for you if you increase.” I suggested two-thirds, and he said, “Do whatever you wish but it will be better for you if you increase it.” I said, “Shall I devote all my supplications invoking Allah to elevate your rank?” He said, “Then you will be freed from your worries and your sins will be forgiven.”

23) Test
And We test you with evil and good as a trial, then to Us you will be returned. [21:35]
Of course, it means shaking hands with mahrams only. As mentioned in the hadith how the Prophet (ﷺ) said to women who came to him for allegiance: ‘(I accept your pledge) with regard to what you are able to do. But I do not shake hands with women.’
Also, according to another hadith: “A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: ‘As-Salamu ‘Alaykum (Peace be upon you).’” So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Ten.’ Then another came and he said: ‘As-Salamu ‘Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah (Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah).’ So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Twenty.’ Then another came and said: ‘As-Salamu ‘Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh (Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah, and His Blessings).’ So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Thirty.’”
This shows how the reward is multiplied with each additional dua with the main greeting of Salam.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Supplications at two times are never turned down (or said, “Are seldom turned down”), a supplication after the Adhan has been proclaimed…”
Also, it was narrated that ‘Alqamah bin Waqqas said: “I was with Mu’awiyah when the Mu’adhdhin called the Adhan. Muawiyah said what the Mu’adhdhin said, but when he said: ‘Hayya ‘alas-salah (come to prayer),’ he said: ‘La hawla wa la quwwata illa Billah (There is no power and no strength except with Allah);’ and when he said: ‘Hayya ‘alal-falah (come to prosperity),’ he said: ‘La hawla wa la quwwata illa Billah (There is no power and no strength except with Allah).’ After that he said what the Mu’adhdhin said, then he said: ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) saying exactly like that.’”

30) Memorise the 99 Names of Allah
So whoever does good equal to the weight of an atom, will see it. And whoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom, will see it. [99:7-8]
In another narration, it clarifies how beneficial it is to make dua with Allah’s Greatest Names – the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) heard a man saying: O Allah, I ask Thee, I bear witness that there is no god but Thou, the One, He to Whom men repair, Who has not begotten, and has not been begotten, and to Whom no one is equal, and he said: You have supplicated Allah using His Greatest Name when asked with this name He gives, and when supplicated by this name, He answers!”
