ICAS Press at the BRAIS conference

On 18–19 May 2026, the British Association for Islamic Studies (BRAIS) annual conference was held at the Institute of Ismaili Studies and Aga Khan University, King’s Cross, London. This year’s conference marked the first participation of ICAS Press, with staff members present at a dedicated stand to display and discuss the press’s publications. The collection on show spanned hadith studies, Islamic law, philosophy, Arabic grammar, and Quranic exegesis (tafsīr), reflecting the breadth and depth of ICAS Press’s academic catalogue. Staff engaged directly with attendees, speaking about individual titles and the scholarly vision behind the press’s publishing programme. The stand attracted considerable interest from conference participants, generating lively conversations and proving a fitting introduction of ICAS Press to the wider British Islamic studies academic community.
